Lung Cancer Screening Program

Lung cancer is the number one cause of cancer-related death in the U.S. Fortunately when lung cancer is detected early, there are more lung cancer treatments available, offering the best chance for a successful outcome.

You may be eligible to receive a lung cancer screening with a low-dose computed tomography (CT) if you meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • Are between the ages of 50 and 80
  • Currently smoke or quit smoking in the past 15 years
  • Have a history of more than 20 pack-years of smoking (the number of years smoked multiplied by the average number of packs smoked per day)

Learn more about lung cancer screening at Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Talk to your doctor to see if lung cancer screening is right for you, or schedule an appointment with a Temple pulmonologist.
